Weskus Kaya offer special accommodation packages tailored specifically to businessmen and specialist contractors to Eskom’s Koeberg Power Station which is situated less than 3km from our guest house.

Transfers to and from the airport can also be arranged. Rates charged per km to any destination from the guesthouse can will be quoted beforehand. Group specials to all tourist destinations by registered tour guides in luxury a kombi can also be arranged. These include trips to Table Mountain, Roben Island, Namaqualand etc.

Fishing charters, and scenic boat charters are also available departing from Weskus Kaya Guesthouse.

Services include daily housekeeping, reception, and even a concierge desk with tourist information.

Security

Your safety and comfort is our priority. Weskus Kaya does it’s best to provide clients with a secure environment. An electric fence with armed response surrounds the entire property to keep unpleasantness out. Secure, off-street parking is available for over 8 vehicles keeping you and your valuables safe. Numerous fire extinguishers are placed strategically throughout the property. Emergency numbers are clearly displayed in each room.

Broadband, internet & Wi-Fi

Staying in touch with your world is a major concern of all travelers and with broadband internet access we assure that you can. Reading e-mail, remotely accessing your corporate network or just surfing the web is all at your disposal. Access to wifi is available throughout the entire Weskus Kaya property. Guests need however to obtain the access code from reception during office hours to connect their personal lap tops.

Laundry

Personal laundry and dry cleaning services are offered on request. This service is available from Monday to Saturday only, at an additional cost per item.

Laundry will be returned by 6:30 pm on the same day. Dry cleaning can take up to 3 days. Personal laundry should be placed in the laundry bag provided.

Restaurant and Room Service

Scrumptious breakfasts are served on a daily basis in our elegant dining room overlooking the pool area, or in the sunny poolside enclosure overlooking the scenic pool and entertainment area, which borrows the beautiful Melkbosstrand and Duynefontein surrounds. Here our guests can enjoy wholesome South African West Coast fare produced by our a chefs from only the freshest local products. A choice of full English or Boere (farmer) breakfasts are avaiable.

The lounge/ bar combined with the pool area, offers endless leisure possibilities. An extensive list of locally produced wines sourced from surrounding producers is available on request to be enjoyed in lounge.

Should packed lunches or dinner be required, please make arrangements with reception. Pre-booking is essential. Additionally, a full catering and room service is available on request. All rooms are also equipped with a kettle, and with sachets of tea, coffee, milk etc for your convenience. A bar service is also available on request.

Guests MUST pre-book for dinner by 9:00am on the day required. Please advise if you have any special dietary requirements when booking.

Melkbosstrand’s weather is mostly balmy, however, we like to keep our guests comfortable in their home away from home, no matter what the temperature outside. For our guest’s convenience, all rooms are equipped with heaters and fans.

All rooms are equipped with bar fridges. We do not stock your fridge but you can purchase refreshments from the pub and stock it yourself.

Electricity

Due to the rapid growth and development experienced by South Africa and indeed our the city over the past decade, Cape Town and surrounds sometimes suffers from power failures. Each room is thus equipped with at least 1 emergency power light. This will come on as soon as the electricity supply is cut. An emergency oil lamp is also available in each room.

Environmental Awareness

Weskus Kaya is environmentally conscious. Detergents damage our environment. Daily, millions of towels are washed in guest houses around the world – many unnecessarily.

If you would like to be “environmentally friendly” please adopt the following procedure:

• Towel in the bath means ‘please change’
• Towels back on the rail means ‘I’ll use them again’
